Death of a Salesman is a two Act tragedy set in late 1940s Brooklyn. Willy Loman is a travelling salesman who is despondent with his life and appears to be slipping into senility. As a multi Tony Award winning play, Authur Miller's Death of a Salesman is regarded as one of the most successful modern plays ever published. It addresses themes such as the American Dream, what is truth and infidelity. The character of Willy Loman was inspired by Authur Miller's very own uncle.
